Usain Bolt creates history at IAAF Championship, Moscow

Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt remained on course to regain his 100 metre title in emphatic style on 11th aug 2013 in IAAF World Championship.He stormed for victory in 9.77 seconds. Former world champion Justin Gatlin of US settled for a silver in 9.85 seconds and Nesta Carter finished third to get a bronze in 9.95 seconds.

In 2001, Bolt’s false start cost him disqualification as Yohan Blake took Gold.

Jamaican superstar stormed to a straight 200 metre title at the IAAF World Championship on 17th Aug 2013.He overhauled the other seven runners with an ease in 19.66 sec to clench the title.

The Jamaican quartet of Nesta Carter,Kumar Bailey Cole, Nickel Ashmeade and Bolt secured the Caribbean Nation victory in the 4*100 relay in 37.36 sec on 18th Aug 2013.

Usain St. Leo Bold is a Jamaican sprinter arguably regarded as fastest man on earth. He became the first man in Olympic History to win both the 100m and 200m in world record times. He created history in 2012 in London by defending all three Olympic titles with 100m, 200 m, 4*100m victories.

What is IAAF world Championship all about ?

The history of IAAF World Championship goes back to 1912 when the International Amateur Athletics Federation was founded (IAAF) as world governing body for the sport of track and field athletics. In 2001, IAAF’s name was changed to International Association of Athletics Federations.

The IAAF world championship is held every two years. This year it was held in Moscow. It is scheduled to be organized in Beijing in 2015, and London in 2017.

IAAF is headquartered in Principality of Monaco.
