IPCA World Championship-K Jennitha Anto won Women’s Chess Title

India’s K Jennitha Anto has won the Women’s Individual Chess title in 13th IPCA World Championship at Czech Republic on 24th July 2013. She competed in a combined group with men and became the highest scorer among the women players.

This event was organised by International Physically Disabled Chess Association in Czech Republic.

The triumph was more special for Jennitha as she now also become a Women International Master(WIM). Hailing from Tamil Nadu, she core 4.5 points from 9 rounds.49 physically disabled chess players from 15 countries participated in this event.

Final standings of the event:

Gold: WCM K. Jennitha Anto (India)

Silver: WFM Galina Malnik (Russia)

Bronze: WCM Marina Kaydanovich (Russia)
